Megan Hoffman RD
A little about Megan...
Megan Hoffman (she/her) is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian who has worked in various sectors of the healthcare system such as public healthcare, health & wellness retail and, more recently has found a passion in working in private multidisciplinary clinics to be able to holistically support clients.

Megan received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta in 2015 and is licensed with the College of Dietitians of Alberta. She is passionate about helping clients improve their relationship (beliefs and behaviours) around food and has knowledge in Intuitive Eating principles. She does not believe in any one-way or pattern of eating as a blanket approach to health and takes the time to educate clients on the many nuances of food and eating behaviours.

Megan offers personalized nutrition counselling using a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach, which means that all foods fit into a healthy eating pattern and that the priority is to help her clients feel good in their body’s, and not to just focus on the number on the scale. She works with clients on health behaviours rather than promoting strict elimination diets or food rules. She believes in the importance of taking the time to learn where her clients currently are in their health journey and understanding their history and challenges.

In nutrition sessions, Megan will assess current diet and lifestyle (stress, sleep, movement, hydration) practices and work alongside her clients to make realistic and sustainable diet and lifestyle recommendations and provide evidence-based education. Her goal is to help her clients build awareness around particular behaviours that may not be serving them and build new, health supporting behaviours and beliefs.

Every client’s nutrition and wellness journey is different. Some may aim to improve a particular health outcome, others may be looking for support with their relationship with food and their body image, or to fuel adequately for sport and performance and/or some may be looking for some helpful tips and support around feeding a family. She offers free 15-minute virtual meet and greets to discuss client goals and to establish a good match for working together. Megan welcomes clients of all ages, genders and identities. She looks forward to meeting you and assisting in your health and wellness goals.
When she isn’t working with clients or furthering her knowledge of all-things nutrition and health, she enjoys walking her dog Hudson, being out in nature, camping, hiking, paddleboarding, spending time with her husband, family and friends, snowboarding, travelling and of course exploring different cuisines and restaurants. (Surprise! The dietitian is a foodie!)
